Sheet Corona Treater

Corona treatment is an electrical surface modification process that enhances material adhesion. It operates by applying high-frequency, high-voltage energy to generate corona discharge, producing low-temperature plasma at the material surface. This plasma induces free radical reactions, leading to polymer crosslinking, surface oxidation, and polarization. Simultaneously, ion bombardment creates micro-scale roughness and improves wettability toward polar solvents. These combined effects significantly increase the surface energy and adhesion properties of the material.
